Powertach is a revolutionary gauge used for reliably measuring and displaying your automobile's torque and horsepower. By embedding a sensor in the driveline, Powertach is the only real-time on-board dynamometer.
Installation of Powertach is as easy as a trip to your local mechanic for a universal joint replacement. While the drive shaft is off the car, lock the Powertach transmitter into place with two self-tapping screws, plug the Powertach head unit into your car's standard OBDII port, mount the head unit to your dash or windshield, and then drive away.
Powertach's modified u-joint comes with an embedded pressure sensor that reacts to the torque transferred through your automobile's driveshaft.
Powertach's display unit combines data from your u-joint with performance data from your car's computer in order to report real-time torque (in foot pounds) and horsepower.
